AQI
Air Quality Index — public communication scale; separate from design values.
Exceedance
Daily concentration at/above the standard threshold (e.g., PM2.5 ≥ 35 µg/m³; O3 ≥ 70 ppb).
Completeness
EPA data completeness rules for including data in DV calculations.

PFIRS

Center of Wildfire
Point representation approximating ignition/centroid of an incident.
Wildfire Boundary
Perimeter polygon delineating burned area (typically for historical/large incidents).

CANSAC

Ventilation Index
Indicator of smoke dispersion potential (mixing height × wind speed or similar composite).
Back-trajectory
Air parcel path traced backward (e.g., 24 hours) to infer upwind sources; FEAST releases at 100/150/200 m AGL using CANSAC winds.
